Sam married Charlotte in '67, then went off to Viet Nam. In '69, she got a letter saying he had been killed, and she took her life out of grief. Actually, Sam was saved by a vampire, and came back to an empty life. This is my favorite picture out of all the things I've ever drawn. I still love it.
